HORIZON

It is the same struggle
Every single day
At night,
I toss and turn
Not being able to fall asleep
Then again in the morning
I toss and turn
Not wanting to leave the bed
Every five minute nap
Snatches hours away
And when I finally get up
The sun is ready to shoot me
Beams right at my forehead
Mocks at my dismay
As if it was waiting
To give me a lecture
for wasting another day
Sermons after sermons
Explaining tenets of discipline
Forgetting that I once used to
Wake up way before him
But what am I to say
And what am I to do
For how long can someone
Drag their past into defence
I don't have a clue
Gone are those days
GONE or
LOST
What might befit
Who cares !
But they must have taken me as well
I presumed
Where ?
I looked around
And saw the sun
Being swallowed by the horizon
I surmised
Horizon
That must be it
That is the place
The Lost and Found box
Of the Universe
Are you there ?
I whispered
Someone heard
But no one answered
One glimpse would suffice
That might prove I exist somewhere
So I cling with all my strength
To the bizarre hope
That's the only thing that's left
Anyways
I've looked at people
Looking at the horizon
And I've looked at the horizon too
What are they yearning for ?
What might be the cause of their longing ?
I wondered
I rejoiced
Because I am not all alone
Waiting
To be found
By someone
Somewhere
Over the Horizon
