Boundaries
[ 11 January, 2023 ]
You know I love boundaries
And I have created a ton
For as a woman I've been told
To keep one, with everyone
They're all different
In type, colour and size
It has always been my favourite task
To select, divide and organize
They could be blue or red or green
For some people are merry,
some might be mean
Or could be long or short or broad or thin
Though I rarely let anybody in
Because beyond the border
Lies my heart filled with landmines
People might trample all over (by mistake)
Ignoring the scattered signs
But it's not them who witness
Those explosions within me
And at the end I'm alone
To clean all that debris
So, I love boundaries
As they are not vague and keep me safe
And if anyone ever messes with them
I can wield my pen and dig a grave
