I know not

Why are you sitting in the dark
Do you wish to see it inside or
Do you want to be engulfed by the darkness outside
Or are you scared
That light will pierce your soul 
Make you witness yourself whole

Once you used to despise the dark
Then what makes you embrace it now
Once it used to fill you with fear
Then why it is comfort that I hear
Why do you spill so much black ink on paper
Don't you have blood in your veins
What about love and care and joy
Or in your heart is it just anger that reins

Why are you sitting in the dark
Is it the stars that you wish to see so you can find a reason
Do you really wish to stop the treason
Or are you searching
For a long lost friend
Who in this darkness always allowed you to blend

What are you yearning 
I know not
What are you feeling
I know not
What are you thinking
I know not
Why are you sitting in the dark

Cage

At the end I couldn't escape This cage And how could I When it's made of  My very bones  And locked by My very blood I sit staring At that enchanted door Only once did it open  Or so I thought  And I went out Or so did I remember  Was it all a facade Who cares Because after all All I could do was To pretend  Smiles Tears Worries Fears I could no longer differentiate  What was originally  Mine But who cares When at the end I returned  Or thrown back Into this cage again Would it have been better If I never realised  Lived all my life  Happily confined I have this thought sometimes  Because going out was no better  I got tired Of people  Of myself Of this envy  How do they do that? Why is it so easy for them? Why can't I? Why do I always have to fight? And I only took a Sigh  Then booom!! What are you scared of ?
